A Red Banner Journey
In 1992, a women's soccer program began at SCAD. Thirty-two years later, in 2024, the program reached the pinnacle of women's soccer in the NAIA National Championship. The coveted Red Banner — a symbol of NAIA excellence — now resides in Savannah, Georgia. These special women set a championship standard for generations of soccer student-athletes to come.

The Li'l Bronze Derby That Was!
In the winter of 1947, a fraternity man's missing derby hat sparked one of the South's storied small-college rivalries: the Bronze Derby, contested between the Newberry College Indians and the Presbyterian College Blue Hose. Two of the Palmetto State's top 100 sports moments of the twentieth century happened on Thanksgiving Day at Setzler Field, playing for that prized hat. This is the most complete history of the rivalry — from its basketball-court origins to the final gridiron meeting in 2006.
